The Student Center attempts to create a caring environment sensitive to the needs of our teens.

In order to do so and in keeping with traditional mental health care, we make every effort to respect the confidentiality of our students and their issues. We have found teens much more receptive to sharing personal problems if they can trust that it will not be shared with anyone else.

Please be assured that if your student indicated that he/she was at risk for suicide, homicide, or described events leading a counselor to believe that the student had been abused or was going to harm someone else, the staff would make every effort maintain safety for everyone concerned. This is not only an ethical standard of care, it is the law.
