The Student Center is a grant funded program receiving financial support from the NJ Division of Prevention and Community Partnerships and “in-kind” support from Sussex County Technical School (they provide us with our space, utilities, secretary and a few other things).  The grant began back in 1988 and is located in room 405.

The site has grown from 2 therapists and a substance addictions specialist to now having 5 therapists, a substance addictions specialist, and yearly masters or doctoral level interns. All staff members have a Master’s Degree in Psychology or Social Work and all have certifications and/or licenses in their areas of study.

The Center was developed to provide “one-stop shopping” for those students attending Sussex Tech. Students are able to access free counseling, recreation, employability skills, and referrals to other agencies. Counseling has always been available to students’ families as well. We are pleased to be able to offer an on-site Mobile Dentist program as well as an on-site Optical center as well.  Check the school calendar for dates of these opportunities or call to find out when they are being held.  While the Mobile Dental Clinic is only for registered students, our Optical Program is available to all family members of an enrolled Sussex Tech student.
